Emergency COVID Ration Spam Fritters
by Simon inso as things are now opening up and food never ran out, i've been dipping into our emergency supplies.
they say that spam doesn't have a shelf-life, it has a half-life, but i kind of wanted to see if it was like i remembered as a kid.. as it turns out spam fritters are as delicious as i remember, probably better ('cause i did fancy ones).
i used this recipe and they were glorious.

If the internet is our only hope we are truly doomed. While it is true the "truth" of any subject can be found, the wading through the bullshit will always exact its toll. I would love to share your enthusiasm.
I have four adult children. When I offer my thoughts on any subject, they cross check me on the internet. Glad to say I am winning. Massively. But it illustrates my point. Since when did the internet usurp authority over experience and proper parenting.
When parents stopped giving a damn, that's when. Nobody under the age of 30 watches the news on any channel. Its all Twitter, Instagratification, Facelessbook, Snapchat, Tik-Tok and Tinder. Tomorrow it will be a dozen other names.
Once the 30 year olds move out of their parents house and make lives of their own they might realize the wizard of Oz behind the curtain of the Internet did more harm to them than good.

I would offer that there is no more parenting today.
Social media and the internet is shaping youth in an unrelenting way.
It is also holding parents captive, distracting them from even attempting to parent.
This is a fact across every household no matter what makeup, philosophy or ethnicity they belong to.
The only thing that will save us is returning to little house on the prairie days.
Everything is moving too fast. Family, dignity, thoughtful guidance, actual caring about the success of the future has been abandoned.
The wisest among us will never be listened to. Unless we have a handle with many millions of followers.

Welcome Dad!
Being Jewish you are at somewhat of an advantage. It's been instilled in you to question "truth" and outside of orthodoxy your heart is usually wide open. But you should also question anything instilled in you because there is no specific journey towards the future you can take that will give you more than the life you lead now.
You are expressing it in your words already. Embrace unconditional love. There is nothing better you can ever experience in your short time on earth.
Keep your love and admiration for her healthy. It will be hard to let go when she forges ahead on her own path.

500C 20GA with leather carry. Had a 12GA 8 shot Winchester and while fun, I did not fill nimble with it. I have other little friends too but the internet doesn't need to know.
